I just had to name this precious girl Thankful! She was born in a rural animal control, and spent the first ten weeks of her life there. When we picked her up she meowed constantly, seemingly wanting to tell us all she'd been through. She was so nervous and upset that we were afraid she wouldn't recover. Well, that couldn't be further from the truth. Upon arriving at her foster home, she was given a warm bath. Most kittens don't like baths, and try to escape as quickly as they can. Not Thankful! She layed back, kneaded the air, and purred like she had just entered the pearly gates! It took her two full days to understand that her nightmare was over, and she is now one of the most loving kittens we have ever seen. She absolutely LOVES to play with strings and ribbons (although that first day she had no idea what it was for), and once she's tired out, she'll lay on your chest and snuggle and purr in total contentment. This is one special kitty, and we are sure she'll be thanking her new family for the rest of her life. Thankful is fully vetted, uptodate on vaccinations, spayed, and combotested negative for FIV and feline leukemia.
